Zoogle Escape
2026 Global Game Jam where I worked as a programmer in a mask-themed alien escape room game in a team of 3-4. I worked on the functionality of 3 puzzles and created an interactable dialogue system for Zoogle to pester the player.
The hardest thing I attempted in this game jam was trying to have the pipe puzzle be procedurally generated so that the correct pathing would be different every time. I learned that trying to do so without utilizing any sort of algorithm (specifically for maze generation) was too much given the time we had in this 48 hour game jam. After about 7 hours I opted to go for a simpler solution, which was to start off the puzzle completed, save the correct positions, and scramble the puzzle when the game starts.
It was a fun game jam and I am looking forward to joining more in the future : )
